With the characters’ losses, Oda is setting them up for a higher purpose in the final saga. Here are five characters from the series whose secrets may turn out to be an advantage in the final arc.

Kid’s defeat by Shanks didn’t dispel his true purpose

Kid faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of Shanks. In one of the iconic scenes, the Red Haired Pirate unleashed his Kamusari on Kidd Pirates. Slashing their ships in one blow, he incapacitated Kid along with his crew.

As one of the members of the Worst Generation, Kid harbors hate toward the World Government. While he views Luffy as a rival, the characters may unite for a common purpose. That is, to overthrow the tyranny of the world government.

One Piece and Law’s Fate

Trafalgar D. Law is one of the few pirates to bear the Will of D. As a member of the D clan he is also feared by the World Government. He holds a high bounty along with his medical prowess because of his affiliation with the Worst Generation.

But that is not all, considering his defeat at the hands of Blackbeard. In One Piece’s Egghead Saga, Law is saved by Bepo. The polar bear mink activated his transformation and managed to save the character.

Of late, Law hasn’t appeared in the Elbaf arc but one thing is certain. He might make a comeback in the final saga and play a pivotal role as Luffy’s ally.

Eiichiro Oda would probably write Katakuri as a worthy ally

Eiichiro Oda gave us some of the most well-written antagonists and Katakuri is one of them. As the second son of Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom, he is caught up in her chaos.

After he fails to incapacitate Luffy, he acknowledges the Straw Hat as a worthy rival. His admiration and respect point to his possible allyship toward the Straw Hat Pirates in the upcoming final arc.

Bepo has yet to showcase his brilliance and mastery

Bepo might be a cutesy polar bear mink but he isn’t the one to be underestimated. As a navigator of Heart Pirates, he is a combatant and a cartographer at the same time.

Like Chopper, Bepo is one of the talking animals in the series. But that doesn’t prevent him from reaching his goals. Apart from being a skilled navigator, he was able to prove his worth as a member of Heart Pirates.

After being crushed by Blackbeard during the Egghead Saga, he has yet to make his appearance in the final arc. For one thing, we know, it would be nothing short of legendary.

Caesar Clown might turn the tables with his intel and knowledge

Caesar Clown was defeated by Straw Hats and Law during the Dressrosa Arc. As a former apprentice of Vegapunk and his closest associate, he worked along with Vinsmoke Judge. He worked in the World Government’s facility and possibly could hold their secrets and knowledge.

After his plan’s failure, he escaped to the Germa Kingdom. Shown as a temporary ally of the straw hats, he may prove to be beneficial in the final saga. His role was pivotal in understanding the world government’s pursuits.

Moreover, he may be hiding intel regarding the world government which can be used against them. This, however, doesn’t negate his crimes against innocents during Punk Hazard Arc.
