“Like little valentines to people that really love the game”: Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Disney’s Encanto Star Stephanie Beatriz Tells Us Why Fans of the Twisted Metal Games Will Love the Show

powered by Dotifi & WWW.ADNG.NG

Twisted Metal is a series that isn’t afraid of taking hard turns, gearing up character arcs, and introducing some new ideas to the mix. In light of the upcoming new season, the team at FandomWire did an interview with Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz.

In the midst of picking Stephanie’s brain regarding what we can expect from the new season, we found interesting insights into the show’s remarkable ability to include new easter eggs, callbacks, and loyalty to the source material.

Revving Up those Easter Eggs (or, ‘valentines’) From the Early Games

We might get to see more callbacks to the original games going forward.

While Stephanie Beatriz made her mark in the industry thanks to shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Disney’s Encanto, the versatile actress has proven time and time again that no matter what character she chooses to portray on screen, she deftly blends her acting skills into a heartfelt portrayal of personality that never leaves our hearts and minds.

Twisted Metal is no different, and Quiet is an enigmatic character who finds herself in a world molded by terrifying psychopaths and fast cars. On this note, we asked her about potential easter eggs we can see, like a subtle PS1 disc that flew into John Doe’s windscreen at some point in the earlier season.

Stephanie gave quite the answer, hyping up next season’s potential for all the call-backs we could get for:

There are lots of these little gifts that he has dropped throughout the series. Whether it is the name of a bar, or a character’s outfit that you see in the background, people that love the game are going to be really satisfied to see those.

She also acknowledged how the show tries to be its own thing, telling the tale of two very diverse characters who happen to partner up with one another, given their circumstances. There’s also a solid credit to Michael Jonathan Smith, the mind behind Twisted Metal’s TV show adaptation.

If we’re lucky, maybe the video game industry too will see a new Twisted Metal game come out someday.

Twisted Metal’s Second Season Will Dive Deeper into the Show’s Standalone Story

Viewers will get to see more of the dynamic duo soon.

As mentioned by Stephanie in the interview, the show is shaping up a narrative of its own that keeps two central characters in mind.

Even though these two sh*t-talking protagonists are at each other’s throats half the time, there’s no denying that there’s a beautiful bond in the center of this broken world they find themselves in.

At the same time, there’s the famous tournament from the games, along with many familiar and new faces we may see in the next season. While there’s a little ‘Quiet‘ from Stephanie about major spoilers, the upcoming season will be even more exciting.
