Tite Kubo’s Bleach had one of the grandest comebacks after the fans lost hope. Before the Thousand Year Blood War arc, Bleach last aired in 2012. After a decade of hope, when everything was starting to fade, it came back with the final saga. The Thousand Year Blood War arc saw the Soul Reapers going up against the Quincy legion, with Yhwach as their leader.

While Yhwach has been a great antagonist, fans often hail Aizen Sosuke as the greatest Bleach villain ever. But there is a close second who had the fans jump up from their seats. It was Ulquiorra Cifer. The fans believe he had a great ending, and Tite Kubo was right in not bringing him back in the story as it would destroy the legacy he left behind.

Aizen Sosuke remains one of the most influential antagonists ever. In Bleach‘s terms, there is no one better than him, but fans believe Ulquiorra Cifer to be a close second. Antagonists often force the audience to hate them but gift the fans with memorable moments. The Fourth Espada did it gracefully. Even though he had a calm nature, his words were like arrows that pierced hearts.

But over time, there arose a contrast between what he said and what he did. It helped him connect with Inoue Orihime, and fans saw his real self. He was heartless and often criticized Orihime for believing in such minute things. One of the best things about Espada was his character’s design and development. While Aizen had been the antagonist for a longer period, Ulquiorra’s short terror reign was enough to send shivers down the spine.

He refrained from unnecessary destruction, and his fellow Espada got agitated with him. The fans hated him for what he did to Ichigo Kurosaki during their first encounter. Fans are thankful to Tite Kubo for letting him stay dead instead of reviving him. Reviving him would only tarnish his name.

The Espada was one of the strongest villain factions in the anime world. Out of them, the fourth one was Ulquiorra Cifer. While most of the Espada enjoyed torturing humans and soul reapers, Ulquiorra was different. His presence was calm, yet there was a feeling of a dark shadow engulfing the villains. His skinny figure was just for looks since he was massively powerful. Throughout the story, he establishes himself as a memorable villain, even though he is not likable.

He had formed a bond with Inuoe Orihime, and he was killed by Ichigo during their second encounter. Ichigo, after his complete hollow transformation, sliced him in half and then destroyed his face with a cero. Even though Ulquiorra was constantly regenerating, he mentioned that his internal organs were all destroyed. Before dying, he finally discovered his heart and thus ended one of Bleach’s greatest terrors.
