Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Utter Failure of One Saga is Pushing Us Towards a Truth No One Wants to Admit

Characters from GT in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero are almost becoming a dream for fans. Though, we must not eliminate the possibility of the characters being included in the base game entirely. All the Budokai Tenkaichi games had them, and this isn’t likely to become an exception.

Recently, Bandai Namco changed the theme of trailers from character reveal to story arcs. Currently, we have the Saiyan, the Namek, and the Android arcs at our disposal. Maybe GT will be revealed in the final trailer of the Spike Chunsoft game.

Inclusion of GT Characters in Sparking Zero is Almost Inevitable

Despite being an anime-exclusive series, GT became one of the underrated gems to have been introduced in the Dragon Ball universe. It is sad that we have yet to see the characters from the series in the upcoming Budokai Tenkaichi video game.

The kind of work that went in Sparking Zero still leaves some room for hope that the developers might have done some great job for GT too, if the characters are being included. Fans do hope that everyone will be included in the game.

There was a time when fans wanted to forget this chapter in the Dragon Ball universe. But then it gained some unexpected popularity, typically through video games, more precisely via the Budokai Tenkaichi series.

All the games in the video game series appreciate characters from GT. Whether it was one of those Shadow Dragons or the Super Saiyan 4 transformations, the games captured the essence of the series beautifully. The characters weren’t really a priority, but their depiction was indeed satisfactory.

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Gave the Shadow Dragon Saga a Delicious Twist

GT brought the story of Dragon Ball to an end, until 2015, of course. The Shadow Dragon saga was then thought by anime fans to be the final bout in the story. It was indeed an interesting arc, as the Dragon Balls, for the first time, went corrupted, with evil dragons emerging from them.

Given the stories recreated in the upcoming Spike Chunsoft game, the Shadow Dragon saga will be something fans will appreciate. Interestingly, Budokai Tenkaichi 2 adapted the story but there was a pinch of twist in there.

It has a noticeably different ending than the original anime. Instead of reviving everyone who died in the story, Goku chose to pursue what strikes him the most: a chow.

The Shadow Dragon saga was adapted by Dragon Ball Heroes too during Jaaku Mission 8. In Dokkan Battle, the story arc appeared as Dragon Ball GT: 7 Shadow Dragons Saga. Now, hopefully, it’s time for the arc to be adapted in the next Bandai Namco game.

What do you think about GT characters? Will they be included in the base game or DLC? We would like to know your thoughts on it in the comments section below.
